Azmont Investments Scholarship Program, 2017-2018 IHS Undergraduate Program


Second year in a row, Azmont Investments announces the Azmont Scholarship Program, now for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Azmont Investments tends to primarily support students from the Boka Bay area, with the focus on Herceg Novi, for three-years of Bachelor degree academic studies within International Hospitality and Management of the Faculty of Culture and Tourism of the University of Donja Gorica. The program seeks to assist educational and hospitality development in Montenegro by preparing the next generation to build their own future in the international tourism and hospitality industry. 

Azmont Investments has partnered with Univerizitet Donja Gorica and Vatel, 1st Worldwide Business School Group in Hospitality and Tourism Management and thus aims to:

  • Secure development of educational program in hospitality.

  • Support local resources, enable them to develop further and use international know-how.

  • Prepare students for a rewarding career in hospitality, tourism and hotel management.


Upon completion of the academic studies, Bachelor and/or Master’s program, scholars will receive a national and EU diploma from this International school. In addition, upon completion of studies, scholars are to be offered a position within Azmont Investments projects, i.e. Portonovi Resort.

To be eligible for the Azmont Scholarship Program, applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Montenegro, living in the Boka Bay, primarily living in the Herceg Novi area. Note: students from whole Montenegro are eligable to apply.

  • Be a high school graduate; be a professional working in the hospitality and tourism industry for at least one year (i.e. waiter, receptionist, house keepers, managers, F&B staff, marketing or communication professional in this area, etc).

  • Be highly motivated to increase their skills and know-how in the hospitality field, through a combination of theoretical and practical studies.

  • Be ready to be introduced to hospitality-related specific skills and values through dress code, language, warm and welcoming attitude, respect for others, open-mindedness to other cultures and good linguistic skills.

  • Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Second language is not mandatory but will be a plus.

  • Be able to travel abroad and take part in internship programs within the Studies.

  • Be able to begin studies in the autumn of 2017.

  • Be able to begin work in one of the projects from Azmont Investments portfolio upon completion of studies.


Supporting documentation to be submitted

  • Fully completed Application Form, with a Personal Statement.

  • CV.

  • Motivation Letter.

  • Recommendation Letter (at least one for students and at least two for professionals applying).

  • Language Certificates.

  • Passport copy.

  • Copies of official school transcripts or proof of working experience for a professional working in the hospitality and tourism industry.

  • One recent photo attached to the Application Form.


Participant selection is determined by a Selection Committee. 

Deadline: The deadline to apply for the Azmont Scholarship Program is May 19th 2017.

Number of Scholarships: Up to 5 scholarships covering 100% of tuition fee may be awarded.

Scholarship value/duration: The scholarship is currently awarded with the value of 2400.00 EUR per School year, in total 7200.00 EUR per scholar. The duration is for three years and applies only to International Hospitality and Management of the Faculty of Culture and Tourism of the University of Donja Gorica.

Maximum points – 30 points.

Note: At least 4 points have to be earned on interview.
