Giving back to community – valuable joint donation for Herceg Novi Health Department

Health Department of Herceg Novi received donation in health equipment, bought from proceeds raised during three-day fundraising festival hosted in Portonovi in May. Through celebrating culture and tradition and thanks to generosity of 52 local winemakers, patisseries, farmers, jewellers, craftsman and specialists in wellness and beauty, but also shop owners in Portonovi resort, almost 3,500 were raised. Special place in this caring story have participation of pupils from schools “Dašo Pavičić” and “Orjenski Bataljon”, who donated paintings for Baazar. Funds were used for purchasing health equipment used in therapy for covid patients.

Mr. Rashad Aliyev, CEO of Azmont Investments said that the year of the pandemic was marked by health workers and their heroic commitment to our health, and that this modest donation is just a symbolic sign of gratitude.

"Today, we are celebrating two very important parts of our community – healthcare professionals and spirit of sharing and giving back. The time of the corona calls for social responsibility, every single one of us included. I am proud that together we organized an event like this with a noble mission - to make work for health workers at least a little easier and help patients in Herceg Novi, while promoting the tradition and culture of Herceg Novi, Boka Kotorska and the whole of Montenegro. In keeping up with our mission of compassion, accountability and efficiency and motivating as many people as possible to do the same, we are can proudly say that we are in the core of this town and region", said Aliyev.

"Whole team of our health workers are investing huge efforts to treat patients, especially those with coronavirus. To provide even better health care, up to date equipment and other medical devices are needed. We are extremely grateful for the donation and happy that the Portonovi company organizes such actions that motivates whole community to be charitable. This donation will improve the quality of work and treatment of patients, so we are more than thankful to have friend and neighbour like Portonovi”, stated representative of health department.

Representing Portonovi team, equipment is delivered by Portonovi General Manager Officer Stevan Milic and Portonovi Marina Director Nikola Banovic.
